There is a cost-efficient, graftless solution for fixed full-arch rehabilitation. The All-on-4 treatment is a revolutionary technique that allows for a quick placement of permanent prosthesis supported only by four implants. If you are interested in the procedure we have prepared this All On 4 guide for you.
The process involves first crafting a verification jig to take an impression. The procedure uses two straight front implants and two back implants tilted up to 45 degrees to take maximum advantage of existing bone in order to avoid a sinus lift surgery.
To create a matrix upon which a pattern resin, like protemp or duralay, can be applied, eight laps of dental floss are wrapped around the transfers, without touching the gums.
After cutting the verification jig structure in four parts to release the pressure of resin, and filling the dental floss with protemp or duralay again, the tray is holed in the exact places where the posts get out, and the putty-like compound is applied under the verification jig structure. Protemp or duralay takes between 3 to 5 minutes to harden again.
Once the impression is taken, the verification jig is unscrewed, and the impression is sent to the dental laboratory. The first appointment ends placing back the temporary prosthesis the patients will continue using while the final restoration is fabricated.
All-on-4 treatments can take about two weeks. The second appointment involves the aesthetic verification. The final result will be a fully functional set of teeth that looks natural, enhances self-confidence and allows to enjoy favorite foods once again.
